At the All-Russian Grain Forum, the deputy head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) stated that Russian grain suppliers are now the second largest in terms of volume of supplies to Mexico and are aiming to become leaders. Grain exports have increased by 14%: to Mexico - 297.6 thousand tons since the beginning of 2024. Purchases of grain have also increased by countries such as India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Georgia, Iraq, and others.

On January 30, 2025, contracts for white sugar were sold at the National Commodity Exchange: 380 tons at a price of 59737 rubles/ton, and at the St. Petersburg Exchange - 160 tons at 60000 rubles/ton. The worst price was 59500 rubles in the Central Federal District, the best price - 60000 in the Central Federal District.

In the port of Vysozkiy, experts from St. Petersburg colored Russian wheat for export to Morocco using the safe green dye E-142. This is a new service that allows compliance with the requirements of importing countries.

A batch of 28 thousand tons of wheat ready for export and all necessary documents were obtained.

From February 15 to June 30, there is a restriction on the export of grain from Russia due to a decrease in crop yields. The quota for wheat and meslin is 10.6 million tons, while there are no restrictions on barley, rye, and maize. Export duty is in effect within the quota.

The university plays an important role in training qualified specialists for the agricultural industry complex of the region.
