Russia supports the project of the "New Land Grain Corridor" for grain supplies to the Chinese market. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin emphasized the importance of ensuring food security and plans for delivering agricultural products to China.
Five out of six sugar factories in the Lipetsk region are already in operation, processing 157.2 thousand tons of sugar beets, producing 13.1 thousand tons of sugar, and 4.3 thousand tons of beet pulp. The sixth factory will start operating in September. The region is among the top 3 sugar producers in Russia, having harvested 196 thousand tons of sugar beets with a yield of up to 450 c/ha.
