Company "ZavAgro" is working on sunflower hybrids. Trials will be conducted in 11 branches.

Acanthus, or bear's breeches, is a perennial plant with a thick rhizome that blooms with white and yellow flowers. It reaches a height of 1.5 m and is suitable for the background of flower beds. Bear's breeches are long-lived and great for creating hedges. Live bushes can be divided every 10 years, propagated by division or seeds. Planting can be done in spring or autumn.

On April 30, 2025, contracts for white sugar were sold on the National Commodity Exchange: 7 contracts for 380 tons at a price of 57,453 rubles per ton and 3 contracts for 1,240 tons at a price of 58,556 rubles per ton.

Maximum prices: 58,000 rubles in the Central Federal District and 59,000 rubles in the Southern Federal District at spot trading.

Kazakhstan is increasing grain exports through Russia. Container shipments along the North-South corridor have grown by 63% to 1,000 containers. The demand for Kazakh grain has increased, wheat exports reached 10 million tons in 2024/25. An increase in barley production to 3.25 million tons is expected.

The Orenburg region has already sown 122.5 thousand hectares, which is 6% of the plan. Ilek district and Sol-Iletsk district lead in terms of sown area. Plowing and fertilizing of fields have been completed on a total area of 2 million 737.3 thousand hectares, exceeding the plan by 102%.

Ristone Holdings plans to sow 27 thousand hectares of sunflower and 6.7 thousand hectares of corn in 2025. They are using innovations to optimize the growing process. Additionally, they will plant soybeans, peas, and grass to improve the soil and enrich it with nitrogen, aiming to strengthen their position in the market and increase food security in Ukraine.

Export of wheat and meslin from Russia is limited to a quota of 10.6 million tons due to low profitability. It is forecasted that the volume of shipments will be around 9 million tons. The decrease in the dollar value and the strengthening of the ruble are increasing costs.

In April, it is planned to export only 1.92 million tons, which is 2.5 times less than the previous year.

The government has introduced amendments to the agricultural development program, tightening the conditions for obtaining subsidies and grants.

The subsidy application process will be simplified, especially for agricultural insurance. Conditions for seed production and fish farming organizations will also change.

In April 2025, Arkadiy Chebanov lost the battle for the assets of the "Timashevsk Sugar Plant." The court dismissed Chebanov's claim for debt recovery, expressing doubts about his integrity. The plant is owned by the Federal Agency for State Property Management.

Farmers in Lipetsk have started sowing corn for silage production. Already 15,000 hectares of corn for food grain and 2,000 hectares for silage have been sown. The volume of spring cereals in the region is 656,000 hectares, which is 64% of the planned area. All crops play a strategic role for the region.

In the Cheremshan district of Tatarstan, the construction of an elevator complex is planned. The investment is 1 billion rubles. The project will create 39 new jobs, and the complex is designed to store 30,000 tons of grain. A company called "Bio-Agro" is being established.

The parties have agreed to expand the activities of the RUSEED agrobiotechnopark in the Republic of Adygea to conduct research in the field of plant breeding and genetics. The partners expressed their readiness to cooperate with the center to improve agricultural production and food security.
