At the event were present Alexey Goncharov, the rector of Orenburg State Agricultural University, Anna Sinitsyna, the commercial director of Pegas-Agro LLC, Dmitry Maslov, the general director of Agromaster LLC, and Igor Basakov, the head of the department of technical policy, technical support, and occupational safety.
Anna Sinitsyna mentioned that this is already the tenth specialized classroom established with the support of the Pegas-Agro plant. She emphasized: "We see this classroom not just as a room with a beautiful interior, but as a space for creativity, unconventional thinking, and an innovative approach to agricultural education. We want students from the very first days of their studies to understand the importance of modern agricultural machinery, which should be an effective tool for the country's agricultural sector."
Alexey Goncharov, the rector of Orenburg State Agricultural University, noted that the opening of the new classroom is part of the celebratory events dedicated to the university's 95th anniversary.
"Today, the material and technical base of our university is being enriched with modern equipment, which will allow future engineers and agronomists to receive a quality education, as well as increase the interest of youth in agricultural professions," he said.
The Pegas-Agro plant is among the top five largest agricultural machinery manufacturers in Russia and is a key enterprise of federal significance.
The plant produces modern self-propelled sprayers-spreader machines of the "Tuman" series, which are versatile and capable of solving various tasks throughout the agricultural season.
The company's production capacities can produce up to 2500 machines per year, allowing it to occupy 22% of the Russian sprayers market.
The localization level of component production is 84%. Since 2019, Agromaster LLC has been the official dealer of Pegas-Agro LLC in the Orenburg region. During this period, the company has sold 192 units of equipment, accounting for 65% of the total number of sprayers purchased in the region.
In 2024, 53 sprayers were purchased in the region, of which 31 units (58%) are "Tuman" models. State support for the purchase of "Tuman" sprayers-spreaders is provided within the framework of the Resolution of the Government of the Orenburg region No249-p of April 12, 2019. Igor Basakov expressed hope for the continuation of successful cooperation with Pegas-Agro LLC and noted that Orenburg State Agricultural University plays an important role in training qualified specialists for the region's agro-industrial complex.
The new training center will become a key base for the training of future agricultural engineers, technologists, and agronomists. It will be able to accommodate 250 students in both full-time and part-time study per year, and will also be used for advanced courses for mechanization specialists, engineering and technical specialists, and agricultural management personnel. This will improve the level of personnel training and strengthen the agricultural sector of the Orenburg region.
