As of today, May 12, Ukraine has successfully exported 37.064 million metric tons of various grains, out of which 1.796 million metric tons were shipped abroad this month. This information was announced by the official newsletter of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, referring to the operational statistics of the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
It is important to note that by May 17 of the previous year, the total export volume reached 44.214 million metric tons, with 2.856 million metric tons being delivered in May.
Looking at the data on specific types of crops from the beginning of the current season, the following can be noted:
- wheat exports amounted to 14.467 million metric tons (564 thousand tons in May);
- barley - 2.286 million metric tons (19 tons);
- rye - 10.8 thousand tons (0);
- corn - 19.755 million metric tons (1.206 million tons).
The total volume of Ukrainian flour exports from the beginning of the current season, as of May 16, is estimated at 61.9 thousand tons (3.3 thousand tons in May), including 57.6 thousand tons of wheat flour (3.2 thousand tons).
