The initial price of summer diesel fuel for farmers is maintained at the level of the previous year, according to the Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut, speaking at a government meeting with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
“To ensure uninterrupted work in the field areas, recommended fuel delivery volumes were agreed with the Ministry of Energy. The cost of summer diesel fuel remains stable and corresponds to the level of the previous year, we monitor this daily together with the Ministry of Energy,” she is quoted by Interfax.
In a timely manner, the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Sergei Tsivilev, noted that diesel fuel prices are at a “normal level, with an increase of less than half a percent.”
“Together with the Ministry of Agriculture, we annually set recommended fuel delivery volumes for the period from March to November, which is crucial for field work, and carefully monitor the situation. Volumes are formed based on requests from the subjects of the Russian Federation and are coordinated with oil companies. For the current year 2025, volumes of 1.4 million tons of diesel fuel and 100 thousand tons of gasoline were approved. In case of increased needs of agricultural producers for motor fuel, the Ministry of Energy is ready to make decisions on additional delivery volumes,” he stated.
“Also, together with the Federal Antimonopoly Service, we monitor the situation with fuel prices to maintain a fair pricing policy, considering the high social significance of this issue. Currently, diesel fuel prices remain at an adequate level. Compared to the previous year, the increase does not exceed half a percent. Ensuring farmers with fuel is a top priority for oil companies, and we are confident that agricultural producers will receive the necessary fuel in full, this situation does not cause us any concern,” Tsivilev added.
