Exports of soybeans from Brazil are expected to reach record levels: May 2025 is projected to be one of the most productive months.

Exports of soybeans from Brazil in May 2025 are projected to reach 14.52 million tons, which is 1.75% higher than the forecast from last week.

Exports for January-April amounted to 40.42 million tons, close to half of last year's volume. Revenues are expected to increase with the soybean crop of 2024/25 estimated at 167.9 million tons.

According to ANEC, soybean exports from Brazil in May 2025 are expected to reach 14.52 million tons, which is 1.75% higher than the previously predicted 14.268 million tons as of last week. If this forecast comes true, it will surpass the results of April - 13.476 million tons, and May of last year - 13.472 million tons.

May is typically considered one of the most active months for Brazilian soybean exports as farmers finish harvesting their crops, creating significant reserves.

In the first four months of this year, soybean exports from Brazil reached 40.42 million tons, almost half of last year's total export volume of 97.3 million tons.

It was previously reported that the volume of soybean meal exports from Brazil in the first quarter of 2025 was record-breaking at 5.4 million tons. According to analysts' forecasts, these volumes are expected to continue to grow. According to the National Supply Company (Conab) of Brazil, soybean production in the 2024/25 season will reach a record level of 167.9 million tons, exceeding last year's figure by 20.1 million tons.
