The main focus was on animal husbandry - a key sector of local agriculture. The Minister emphasized that the volume of milk production in the region is among the country's leaders, averaging 10 tons in agricultural enterprises, excluding microenterprises. The Kaluga region was involved in a pilot project on the use of land resources in agriculture. The Minister noted that out of 300,000 ha of available land, around 200,000 ha can be put into circulation. Within the state program "Land," 21 land reclamation projects were supported last year, and an additional 29 initiatives have been approved for the current year.

During the meeting, the implementation of the state program "Integrated Development of Rural Areas" was also discussed, in which the Kaluga region actively participates. In the first five years, the program received nearly 2 billion rubles, which facilitated the creation of 250 social and infrastructure objects needed for the local population. Over 1 billion rubles are allocated this year to improve the quality of life in rural areas.
