Company "Oktyabrskoye" is forced to send its employees on mandatory leave.

Group of organizations "Oktyabrskoye" (official partner of the company "Rostselmash" in the Lipetsk and Tambov regions) is forced to resort to crisis measures due to the unstable situation in the agricultural machinery market. In June, some employees will be forced to take leave, and all investment projects will be suspended. This was announced by the general director of the company Maxim Zhalnin to the magazine "Abiregu."

According to him, this decision was prompted by a slowdown in the pace of agricultural machinery sales, which is explained by several factors at the same time: "The main ones are a low harvest of the previous year and moderate prices for agricultural products, which did not allow farmers to actively update their technical fleet. The level of free funds of our clients has significantly decreased."

The situation was exacerbated by the increase in the Central Bank's key rate, which led to a reduction in loans and a decrease in investment activity in the market. "We have a sufficient amount of machinery ready for sale, however, demand remains low," he added.

For this reason, the company "Oktyabrskoye" introduced crisis management measures. In particular, investment expenses were optimized, construction and reconstruction projects were minimized, and some office and support staff were sent on forced leave.

Nevertheless, according to Zhalnin, the company "Oktyabrskoye" does not plan to reduce the number of employees in the trade and service sector. On the contrary, in the current season, the number of service specialists has been increased by about 15% to ensure uninterrupted operation of "Rostselmash" equipment in the region. "We consider this step justified, despite the additional costs, as an increase in the crop level is expected, which will require more equipment utilization," explained the top manager.

"The results of the third quarter will show how the situation will develop in the future. If the crop level and prices for agricultural products do not increase, we may have to take more decisive steps to reduce expenses," concluded Maxim Zhalnin.

Joint Stock Company "Oktyabrskoye" was founded in 1974. The main activity is wholesale trade in agricultural equipment, machinery, and tools. The turnover for 2024 amounted to 9 billion rubles with a net profit of 294.5 million rubles. JSC "Oktyabrskoye" is an authorized partner of the company "Rostselmash" in the Lipetsk and Tambov regions. "Rostselmash" is a well-known company specializing in the development and production of specialized agricultural machinery. The enterprise was founded in 1929.

More than 20 countries purchase products from this manufacturer. Over 15,000 people work at the production plant, and 150 types of various equipment and its modifications are produced. Maxim Zhalnin has been heading JSC since April 2020. From 2005 to 2021, he held the position of a deputy of the Tambov City Duma from the Communist Party and was considered one of the wealthiest deputies in the Duma.
