The confirmation from the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) has been received regarding the issuance of a phytosanitary certificate for the vessel Wadi Safaga carrying wheat at the request of the Egyptian organization GASC. The agency stated: "After receiving the requested data from the Government Agency for Food Procurement of Egypt on the readiness to accept the cargo, the Southern Interregional Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor on April 4 issued a phytosanitary certificate for the vessel Wadi Safaga carrying wheat, which is destined for Egypt."
According to a source close to one of the largest participants in the grain market, Trading House RIF, the company has received the necessary documents for two ships that have been idle in the port for a long time. One of them, Wadi Safaga, is transporting wheat for GASC, as noted by Reuters.
According to LSEG data, the vessel has already left the port.
