In the Ukrainian rapeseed market, there is a sharp decrease in prices that may continue for up to three weeks. This is due to a technical correction on the exchange, but in the long term, high prices are expected for this oil crop. This was announced by analysts of the PUSK cooperative during a briefing on June 18, created within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, as reported by the VAR press service.
"There are fluctuations in the market right now. The exchange price of rapeseed was recently around 470 euros per ton. However, yesterday there was a sharp drop in prices for grains and oil crops, in particular, rapeseed lost 10-11 euros per ton. This has affected the Ukrainian market and led to further price reductions. As of June 17, seaports offered a conditional price of 435 euros per ton on an FOB basis, which decreased to 425 euros per ton in the second half of the day," experts noted.
At the same time, they predict that the price on the exchange may continue to decrease in the near future. It is expected that the downward price trend may last up to three weeks.
