In the Tambov region, spring field work has begun. According to the "Online Tambov.ru" portal, the Mordovian and Tambov municipal districts were the first to start sowing spring crops: barley, peas, and grass. This year, the sowing started earlier than last year. It is planned to increase the sowing area to 1.9 million hectares by 2025. The quality of seeds is guaranteed to be at a high level.

Company "Demetra-Holding" plans to complete the "Auto1500" project in 2025, increasing the grain transshipment by 1.5 million tons.

"Novorossiysk Grain Terminal" is going to increase the total volume of transshipment to 11 million tons of cargo in 2026, by building additional berths and capacities.

In 2024, the company transshipped 7.2 million tons of agricultural goods.

World wheat prices have risen: hard red winter wheat to 557.00 cents/bushel, hard red spring wheat to 586.00 c/b, soft red winter wheat to 601.75 c/b. The corn contract has increased to 458.50 c/b. The price of rice is $13.43/cwt. Russia's indicative export prices have also risen.

World prices for wheat decreased from 28.02.25 to 07.03.25. In Russia, spring sowing has begun. Wheat stocks in agricultural organizations decreased by 31.5%. In Kazakhstan, grain exports increased by 53%.

The owner of "Rostselmash" announced record low agricultural machinery sales in 2024. The reasons are high grain tariffs, expensive credits, and reduced government support. Farmers are losing billions due to tariffs, and investments in the industry are decreasing due to opaque financing.

In the Rostov region, around 24% of winter crops did not sprout or are in poor condition due to plant development lagging behind. In some areas, snow did not form, which may have a negative impact on the harvest. Currently, field fertilization and feeding are being carried out.

In Bashkortostan, 248.2 thousand hectares of winter crops are ready for sowing for the 2025 harvest, including 195.3 thousand hectares of wheat and 48.3 thousand hectares of rye. Unfavorable agrometeorological conditions threatened the sowing, but 91% of the crops are in good condition.

It is planned to sow 2.8 million hectares with spring crops.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has completed the selection of manufacturers of specialized agricultural machinery for program #1432 for the next year. Three companies have received subsidies for the production of seeders, corn huskers, and harvest platforms. The government will reimburse up to 50% of the discount to buyers. Starting from 2025, more favorable conditions have been created for manufacturers.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government has approved a ban on gasoline exports for companies without production. Export permission remains only for manufacturers and their subsidiaries. Stabilization of the petroleum products market and prevention of illegal exports are the main goals of the measure.

Russia will continue to control the quality of wheat with the help of the Federal Center for Grain Quality Assessment in Agriculture (ЦОК АПК), taking samples and analyzing data free of charge for producers.

Monitoring the harvest is important for export planning, demand forecasting, and ensuring food safety. A total of 52 million tons of grain will be checked in 27 regions.

The head of agriculture of the Voronezh region has talked about the preparation for the spring sowing campaign. In 2024, 699.1 thousand hectares of winter crops have been sown, which is 95% of the plan. 75% of them are in good condition. The area allocated for seeding this year is 2.7 million hectares. The preparation of seeds for spring crops is also ongoing. 136 thousand tons of grain have been harvested so far.

Farmers in the Orenburg region will start working in the fields earlier due to the warm snowless winter. The sowing area for the year 2025 has been increased, with cereals and oilseeds occupying a large part of it.

The harvest of 2024 covered an area of 4.4 million hectares. Approximately 90% of winter crops are normal.
