Purchases of grain have also increased by countries such as India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Georgia, Iraq, and others.

Company "EPT" plans to supply 26 million tons of grain to Iran from 2024 to 2035, with the possibility of increasing the volume to 55 million tons. The agreement is signed with the Iranian company IranianEurasia.

The project aims to increase trade turnover and develop the "North-South" transportation corridor.

Algeria is building 350 new grain storage facilities to increase grain imports, particularly from Russia. The country plans to increase its grain storage capacity from 3.4 to 9 million tons. Experts highlight the advantages of Russian grain due to its quality and price, unlike French grain, whose shipments have decreased by 85%.

World wheat prices had different trends: soft wheat on CBOT rose, hard wheat on KCBT and MGE fell; corn prices increased, while rice prices dropped. Grain export quotas are being redistributed due to violations. The state fund purchased 881.6 thousand tons of grain, and the area under hard wheat will increase.

Wheat prices on the world markets increased from December 20th to December 27th, 2024. Russian wheat prices decreased, and the CPT Novorossiysk index fell. The grain harvest in Russia decreased, while the volume of grain exports from Russia and Ukraine increased.

Kazakhstan harvested 26.7 million tons of grains.

The US Department of Agriculture has reduced the forecast for wheat harvest in Russia by 5 million tons and estimated the remaining stocks at 250,000 tons. The export forecast has been reduced by 4 million tons. The corn harvest has decreased by 600,000 tons, and the production of feed grains by 1.1 million tons.

The European Union has increased the wheat export forecast, while Ukraine has reduced the forecasts for wheat and increased them for corn. The global wheat harvest forecast has decreased by 7.44 million tons.

The corporate group is planning to build a grain and container terminal in Iran for grain deliveries from Russia. The costs for the project will amount to 10 billion rubles for the grain terminal and 7 billion rubles for the container terminal. The construction is planned to be completed by 2027.

The organization is also working on a similar terminal in the Trans-Baikal Territory.

The US Department of Agriculture has not changed the forecast for wheat harvest in Russia - 83 million tonnes. Wheat exports from Russia will remain at 48 million tonnes, while the forecast for corn production has been reduced to 13.5 million tonnes. Forecasts for Ukrainian and Kazakh wheat remain unchanged. The global wheat harvest forecast has decreased to 796.88 million tonnes.

The US Department of Agriculture has forecasted wheat exports from Russia at 48 million tons. The forecast for wheat exports from the European Union has been reduced to 34.5 million tons. Wheat harvest in Russia is projected at 83 million tons. Forecasts for corn exports have also decreased. Global grain yields are estimated to be higher.

The forecast for global grain production in 2023/2024 has increased to 2.31 billion tonnes. In Russia, a harvest of 134.4 million tonnes is expected, with grain and wheat exports reaching 61 and 50.4 million tonnes respectively.

In the European Union, the crop is estimated at 269.3 million tonnes with grain and wheat exports at 48.2 and 34.3 million tonnes.

In Kazakhstan, the grain harvest forecast is 16 million tonnes, while in Ukraine it is 66.4 million tonnes with exports of 37 million tonnes.

The forecast for grain production in the world for 2024 has been raised to 2854 million tons due to the growth in feed grains. Consumption is also higher than last year. Grain stocks will remain high by the end of 2025. Global grain trade remains stable, with changes in the export of various types of grain.
