The Russian Federation is actively striving for technological sovereignty, placing this task at the top of its development program. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin emphasized this fact at the meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects. Eight national projects dedicated to technological leadership have been created in this direction. They include specific plans for the development and production of products, aimed at shaping a stable and long-term demand for Russian technologies.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev presented a new national project in agriculture called "Technological Support for Food Security." It includes five main directions: selection and genetics, biotechnology development, development of veterinary drugs and vaccines, agricultural machinery and equipment, as well as workforce development in this area. It is planned to allocate around 260 billion rubles for this project, of which 127 billion rubles will be allocated from the budget, and the rest will be attracted through off-budget financing.
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin instructed the ministries and the head of the government to control financial issues to support farmers for the spring field work. He emphasized the need for timely financing of these works and asked the Prime Minister to take this issue under control. Putin also noted that Russia remains a leader in the global wheat export market.
The President also emphasized that the Russian authorities will take measures to support businesses aimed at maximizing the production of domestic goods and services. "We will continue to develop the country's production potential and stimulate the supply-side economy. We will use effective business support measures capable of maximizing the production of goods and services, especially in those sectors where it is most needed," said the head of state.
