As part of the business program of the 26th Russian Agro-Industrial Exhibition "Golden Autumn - 2024", on October 11, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Andrey Razin held an operational headquarters meeting in a video conference format. The event, dedicated to the preliminary results of crop production for the current year, was attended by heads of agro-industrial complex bodies from the regions of the Russian Federation.
According to Andrey Razin, the harvest campaign in the country is almost complete. At the moment, approximately 122 million tons of grain have been harvested from more than 92% of the sown areas. Wheat accounts for more than 85 million tons of this volume. Harvesting of oilseeds, vegetables, potatoes, fruits, and berries is ongoing.
Currently, winter crops have been sown on 14.4 million hectares. The total sown area is planned to be no less than 20 million hectares, which corresponds to last year's level. Andrey Razin noted that all work should be completed with high quality and within the specified timeframe.
Participants of the meeting discussed several important issues, including the impact of weather conditions on the pace of harvesting and sowing, as well as the availability of necessary material and technical resources for agricultural producers.
