The International Conference KazOil-2025 (February 13, Astana) will be held with the support of the National Association of Oilseed Processors of Kazakhstan (NAPO).
In 2021, the National Association of Oilseed Processors was established with the aim of uniting enterprises in the processing industry for the comprehensive development of the oil and fat industry of Kazakhstan. The main goal of NAPO is to ensure the country's food security and strengthen Kazakhstan's export positions in the global market of oil and fat products.
The association's members process over 90% of oilseeds in the Republic and export over 90% of Kazakhstan's oil and fat products.
NAPO's activities include improving communication between producers of oil and fat products, agricultural enterprises, industry associations, representatives of scientific institutions, and government agencies. The association is also engaged in analysis and forecasting in the oil and fat industry.
The head of NAPO, Yadykar Ibragimov, will be one of the speakers at the international conference KazOil. The topic of his presentation will be the prospects of the sunflower oil market in Kazakhstan amid growing demand.
According to information from APK-Inform, during the first four months of the 2024/25 season, Kazakh oil mills produced 56 thousand tons of refined sunflower oil, which is 17% more than in the same period of the previous season.
There is also an increase in the production of crude oil: from September to December 2024, the production of this product increased by more than 8 thousand tons compared to the previous season, reaching 161 thousand tons.
NAPO expects further increase in the production of refined sunflower oil.
"By the end of 2025, a project is planned to be launched for refining with a capacity of 66 thousand tons per year, and in the first quarter of 2026, with a capacity of 165 thousand tons per year, with an investment of more than 18 billion tenge. There are also plans for the implementation of several projects for deep processing of oilseed crops, including the production of fats and lecithin. The launch of these projects contributes to stabilizing the cost of bottled oil and reducing imports," said the chairman of the board of NAPO, Yadykar Ibragimov.
Participants of the conference KazOil will be able to receive valuable information from market experts necessary for the successful development of their businesses, as well as personally meet the event participants, learn more about their activities, and explore opportunities for concluding profitable contracts.
