One of the largest Russian producers of frozen semi-finished products and a supplier to federal fast food chains, the Atlantis group of companies, has opened a new production site in the Bagrationovsky district of the Kaliningrad region. The total investment in the project exceeded 2.7 billion rubles, and the production capacity reached 6,500 kg of breadcrumbs per hour.
The Acting Governor of the Kaliningrad region, Alexey Besprozvannykh, took part in the solemn opening ceremony, which took place on Friday, June 14. He noted the holding's active investment policy in the region and emphasized that the plant's launch will contribute to the creation of about 400 new jobs and strengthen the positions of the regional food industry.
“The plant is equipped with the most modern equipment, allowing for the most efficient organization of production and the production of up to 47 thousand tons of breadcrumbs annually. Thanks to this, the region will see another 384 new jobs. The implementation of such projects in the region also contributes to the improvement of the standard of living and well-being of residents of neighboring areas,” Alexey Besprozvannykh noted in his speech.
The Atlantis company explained that the opening of a new plant for the production of breadcrumbs will allow them to meet the main needs of the holding in this type of product and ensure uninterrupted operation of plants supplying products to fast food chains.
The Director of the Atlantis group of companies, Dhanadzhai Bhagat, noted: “This will allow us to reduce dependence on external suppliers and other external factors, ensuring stability of the production process.”
The Atlantis group is a resident of the special economic zone of the Kaliningrad region and is a vertically integrated company with a large production complex, including several operating plants. It is a leader in Russia in the production of frozen semi-finished products from fish, seafood, chicken, mozzarella cheese, spring rolls, and breadcrumbs, and is also the largest investor in the agro-industrial complex of the Kaliningrad region.
In recent years, the Atlantis company has attracted over 30 billion rubles in investments to the region and created over 2 thousand jobs at its enterprises. The company's products are supplied to fast food chains such as “Tasty – Period”, “Burger King” and others.
Currently, the Atlantis group continues to implement several other projects in the region, including the construction of a plant for the production of french fries and potato pancakes in the Chernyakhovsk district, the construction of a plant for the production of soft ice cream in Kaliningrad, and the construction of a large dairy cluster in the Gusev district. The volume of new investments in these projects is estimated at 50 billion rubles.
