GRAIN MARKET NEWS
• Harvesting has begun in 22 regions of Russia. In Stavropol, 47% of sown areas have been harvested, grain yields exceed last year's figures by 6-7 centners. In the Saratov region, yields are 8% higher than last year. In the Rostov region, yields are currently lower than last year's.
• The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia confirms the plan for main crops. It is expected that about 135 million tons of grains will be harvested. Deputy Prime Minister D. Patrushev stated that 90 million tons of this volume will be accounted for wheat.
• The volume of grain transshipment in Russian seaports for January-June 2025 decreased by more than 56%. Transshipment of dry bulk cargoes amounted to 204.4 million tons (-7.4% compared to the same period last year), including mineral fertilizers – 23.2 million tons (+8.8%), grain – 16.4 million tons (-56.4%).
• The USDA in its July report increased the forecast for gross grain production and exports from Russia in the current season. The wheat production forecast was raised by 0.5 million tons to 83.5 million tons. The wheat export forecast was increased by 1 million tons and is estimated at 46 million tons.
• Russian wheat exports in July 2025 may be less than 2 million tons, according to "Kommersant" magazine citing IKAR and "SovEcon."
