Agricultural companies from the Kurgan, Tyumen, Sverdlovsk, and Chelyabinsk regions have begun harvesting grains, legumes, potatoes, and vegetables. This information was reported by "Interfax", citing an official representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Urals Federal District.
"Weather conditions this year have been challenging: the sowing campaign was delayed, but the regions have already started harvesting. The harvesting campaign has just begun, but farmers are fully prepared for its active phase. They have prepared the necessary equipment and purchased a sufficient amount of fuel," the president's press service reports.
In total, grains and legumes have already been threshed in the district from an area of 11 thousand hectares with a total yield of 34 thousand tons. Additionally, about 1 ton of potatoes and 2.1 thousand tons of vegetables have been harvested.
