During the first eight months of 2024, Russia exported about 3.8 million tons of sunflower oil to international markets, which is 28% higher than the indicator for the same period last year. This information was published by the "Agroexport" center at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation in its Telegram channel.
According to the data, India (with a share of 35% of the total export volume), Turkey (with a share of 14%), and China (with a share of 13%) are the top three importers of the product for the specified period.
The message emphasizes that "Agroexport" has conducted a preliminary forecast, according to which by 2030, the volume of Russian sunflower oil supplies to the global market could reach 5.7 million tons.
