Sale of grain from the state reserve at the commodity exchange on April 25, 2025 brought in 72.3 million rubles. A total of 4725 tons of grain were sold: 675 tons of wheat from 2021, 810 tons from 2022, and 3240 tons from 2023.

In the region, 33% of spring crops and 75% of early grain crops were sown according to the plan.

The president of the Russian Grain Union stated that due to duties and quotas, the number of companies exporting grain from Russia has decreased from 200 to 15. This situation indicates a market conspiracy. The projected grain harvest this year is estimated at 125 million tons.

Duties are being reduced due to the strengthening of the ruble, making exports unprofitable.

In Tatarstan, sowing works have begun. 115 thousand hectares of early spring crops have been sown. The assessment of winter crops is positive. 680 thousand hectares of crops have been fertilized. Soil moisture is sufficient. Harrowing has been carried out on 1 million 470 thousand hectares.

The sowing season in the Saratov region has already begun: by April 19, 150 thousand hectares have been sown with cereals, technical, and leguminous crops, including sunflower, beetroot, soybeans, forage and vegetable crops, as well as potatoes.

In the current season in the Leningrad region, 535 hectares of spring crops have been sown, with plans to allocate 56 hectares for the next year.

In three districts, 436 hectares of grain crops have already been sown, and 6,000 hectares of winter grain crops have been fertilized. A total of 9,788 hectares of winter grain crops are planned to be sown by 2025.

The Hydrometeorological Center predicts that 6-8% of fields have sparse plantings.

6345 tons of grain were sold for 98.4 million rubles at the National Commodity Exchange. Deals were made for various classes of soft wheat from the 2021-2022 harvest.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and DOM.RF have launched a leasing program for agricultural machinery worth 330 billion rubles to support domestic manufacturers. The program will allow upgrading 47,000 units of equipment by 2030.

Private investors can purchase DOM.RF bonds worth 10 billion rubles.

Global wheat prices continue to rise: soft wheat on CBOT 529 cents, hard wheat on KCBT 557.50 cents, spring wheat on MGE 584.50 cents.

The price of corn on CBOT is 460.25 cents, rice is 13.07 dollars per hundredweight. In Russia, seafaring wheat prices are also on the rise.

In the Tambov region, spring field work has begun. According to the "Online Tambov.ru" portal, the Mordovian and Tambov municipal districts were the first to start sowing spring crops: barley, peas, and grass. This year, the sowing started earlier than last year. It is planned to increase the sowing area to 1.9 million hectares by 2025. The quality of seeds is guaranteed to be at a high level.

Company "Demetra-Holding" plans to complete the "Auto1500" project in 2025, increasing the grain transshipment by 1.5 million tons.

"Novorossiysk Grain Terminal" is going to increase the total volume of transshipment to 11 million tons of cargo in 2026, by building additional berths and capacities.

In 2024, the company transshipped 7.2 million tons of agricultural goods.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Economic Development support the indexing of domestic prices for fertilizers, although the Ministry of Agriculture is against it. They propose to increase prices in line with inflation. Manufacturers asked for a price increase of 10-15%, but the decision will be made by summer.
