The grain trader from Rostov-on-Don named "Pallada" has applied to the Arbitration Court of Moscow with a demand to recover 5.6 billion rubles from the Central Bank of Syria and the State Grain Company for violating the terms of supply contracts. This information was published on the website of the arbitration courts of the Russian Federation, as reported by Kommersant.

The presented material specifies that the claim was filed against the Central Bank of Syria and the General Corporation for Grain Trade, Storage, and Processing of the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection of Syria. The legal proceedings resulted from the escalation of the situation after the overthrow of the pro-Russian regime of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in December 2024. After the rebels captured Damascus, Assad left the country and found refuge in Russia. Relations between Russia and the new Syrian authorities have not yet been established.

The company "Pallada" was founded in Rostov-on-Don in 2022 and in a short period showed a revenue of 21.5 billion rubles, joining the list of the top 25 companies in the Rostov region. According to information from "SPARK-Interfax," the company's turnover for the previous year exceeded 36.2 billion rubles, and the net profit was over 4.4 billion rubles.
