Sergey Simonenko, head of the Department of Agriculture of the Bryansk Region, presented information on the completion of harvesting of grain crops and rapeseed at agricultural enterprises in the region. Currently, this process is nearing completion.

As of September 5, 2024, 94% of grain crops (excluding corn) have been harvested from the planned area. Six districts - Dubrovsky, Klinsky, Krasnogorsky, Mglinsky, Navlinsky, and Rognedinsky - have already completed the harvest. The total volume of grain in the region is 723 thousand tons.

As of September 4, rapeseed was harvested at 96% of the plan. Harvesting of winter rapeseed has been completed in 13 districts of the region. During this period, 307 thousand tons of rapeseed oilseeds were collected, which is an increase of 50 thousand tons compared to the previous year.

On September 5, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Governor of the Bryansk Region Boris Gribanov, a video conference was held in the Government of the Bryansk Region, where issues of completing the harvesting of grain crops and rapeseed at agricultural enterprises in the region, as well as sowing winter crops for the 2025 harvest, were discussed.

Currently, harvesting of other agricultural crops continues. Potatoes have been harvested from 21% of the planned area, totaling 194 thousand tons. Soybeans have been harvested from 9% of the planned area, and flax fiber has been processed from 83% of the planned volume.

Agricultural enterprises in six districts - Bryansky, Zhiryatinsky, Pogarsky, Sevsky, Suzemsky, and Trubchevsky - are engaged in vegetable harvesting.

At the same time, soil preparation for sowing winter crops is underway. Sowing of winter rapeseed is almost complete, with approximately 80 thousand hectares sown at the moment, which is 6 thousand hectares more than last year. Winter grain crops have already been sown on an area of 7.3 thousand hectares in 11 districts of the region.

During the video conference, leaders from the Starodubsky, Komarichsky, Karachevsky, Klinsky, and Pogarsky districts spoke.

Deputy Governor Boris Gribanov emphasized the importance of completing the harvest of grain crops and rapeseed by September 10. It is also a crucial time for sowing the main crops for the next year. Winter crops play a key role in the grain sector and ensure the food security of the region. Therefore, it is important to sow winter cereals at optimal agronomy dates.
