According to the statement of Vladimir Petrichenko, the general director of the analytical center "Prozerno," the rapeseed harvest in Russia (excluding the territories of Donbass and Novorossiya) will reach a record level in 2024 and amount to 5 million tons. He shared this information with journalists at the "Grain of Siberia" forum.
Petrichenko noted that the rapeseed harvest at such a level will be a new achievement for this agricultural crop. He also mentioned that a successful harvest of linseed oil is expected, although the volume will not exceed the results from two years ago. Approximately 1.6 million tons are expected in the harvested crop in Russia.
Petrichenko stated that 2 million tons of rapeseed will be harvested in the Siberian Federal District, including 500 thousand tons in the Krasnoyarsk region.
According to the data from the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the rapeseed harvest in Russia amounted to about 4.2 million tons in 2023.
