According to the results of the first quarter of 2024, Russia took fourth place among wheat-exporting countries to Indonesia, as reported by the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Agroexport" under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
According to ITC Trade Map data, Russian companies supplied 491 thousand tons of grain to the Republic worth over 138 million dollars from January to March.
Indonesia is one of the three leading wheat importers along with Egypt and China. Russian exports to this Asian country resumed in May 2023 after a two-and-a-half year hiatus.
According to preliminary estimates by "Agroexport", the potential of Russian wheat and flour exports to this country is around 2 million tons, amounting to over 480 million dollars.
