According to the report of the July International Grains Council (IGC), the forecast for the global grain harvest for the current agricultural period (July 2025-June 2026) has been reduced to 2,376.3 million tonnes (-0.9 million) compared to the June estimate. The forecast for global wheat production has been increased to 808.3 million tonnes (+0.4 million).
Russia
- The grain harvest in the Russian Federation for the current agricultural year has been reduced by 0.5 million tonnes and is estimated at 120.1 million tonnes. The forecast for wheat harvest remains unchanged at 81.7 million tonnes.
- The forecast for grain exports from Russia has been reduced to 51.8 million tonnes (-0.5 million). Wheat exports remain at 43 million tonnes.
European Union
- The forecast for grain harvest for the agricultural period 2025/2026 has been reduced by 0.8 million tonnes to 280.6 million tonnes, including 137.2 million tonnes of wheat (as in the previous report).
- Preliminary estimates suggest the European Union will export 45.7 million tonnes of grain abroad (-0.6 million), including 32 million tonnes of wheat (-1 million).
Kazakhstan
- The forecast for grain harvest has been increased to 19.6 million tonnes (+0.5 million). The wheat harvest has also been raised by 0.5 million tonnes and is estimated at 15 million tonnes.
- The forecast for grain exports has been increased by 0.5 million to 11.9 million tonnes. The forecast for wheat exports remains unchanged at 9.9 million tonnes.
Ukraine
- The grain harvest in Ukraine has been reduced again from 61.1 million to 60.9 million tonnes. The forecast for wheat harvest remains at 25.1 million tonnes.
- The forecast for grain exports has been reduced to 43 million tonnes (-0.4 million), including a decrease of 0.3 million in wheat exports to 16 million tonnes.
- The harvested corn crop remains unchanged at 28.6 million tonnes. Exports will be 23.9 million tonnes, unchanged.
