The list of seeds with reduced VAT has been significantly expanded. Now it includes not only sunflower and corn, but also barley, beans, peas, various types of wheat, mescalin, buckwheat, millet, rye, oats, and others. The changes will take effect from August 8, 2024.

The list of seeds eligible for reduced VAT has been significantly expanded. Changes to the relevant documents have been made by the Ministry of Agriculture, as reported by the "Parliamentary Newspaper".

Changes have been made to the list of seed codes subject to a 10% VAT rate due to the adoption of tax amendments that take into account treated (seed-treated) seeds of agricultural crops. Previously, only sunflower and corn were included in this list.

The Ministry of Agriculture has also added the names of seeds of many agricultural crops to the list, including barley, beans, peas, various types of wheat, meslin, buckwheat, millet, rye, oats, and others.

The new rules will also apply retroactively - from August 8, 2024, to December 31, 2029, for transactions involving the sale of seed treated with seed dressings.
