The transportation company FESCO (a company included in the state corporation "Rosatom") has started shipping soybean oil to China. The shipments are carried out in containers equipped with flexitanks. In July, the first containers with 200 tons of product were shipped. It is expected that they will arrive in China by August 26, 2024. In total, 137 container units (about 3 thousand tons) will be delivered to the port of Tianjin (Xingang) in October, the company's press service reports.

The shipments are carried out through the FESCO Agro service. The transportation scheme includes loading the product into 20-foot containers at a Russian plant of one of the agro-industrial enterprises. Then the oil is delivered by road transport to a railway station. After that, the bulk cargo is placed in flexitanks as part of a container train and sent to the port of Vladivostok (which belongs to FESCO). The oil is then transshipped to a container ship of the group and sent via the FESCO China Express marine line to the Chinese recipient port.

FESCO Agro provides integrated logistics solutions for Russian agro-industrial enterprises. Within this framework, a full range of services is provided for the transportation of agricultural goods in containers, using liner bags, flexitanks, and big bags. FESCO Agro conducts railway and intermodal transportation mainly using the group's transport assets.

FESCO is one of the largest transport and logistics companies in Russia with assets in the port, railway, and integrated logistics business. The group owns the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port, provides integrated transportation services, and manages container and refrigerated transportation. It also operates terminals in Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk, Tomsk, and Vladivostok. FESCO's container fleet consists of more than 170 thousand units, with over 13 thousand fitting platforms. The company's fleet includes more than 30 transport vessels that mainly transport goods on their own sea lines. In November 2023, the state corporation "Rosatom" became the owner of a controlling stake in the company.
