Kamensky sugar plant (ATMIS Sugar OJSC) continues to produce sugar from syrup reserves prepared after the end of the beet season. According to information from GTRK Penza, the plant uses a unique syrup storage technology, which is used in Russia only at three out of 65 enterprises. The syrup is stored under strictly controlled parameters - concentration, acidity, and sugar content.
Sugar production at the plant is fully automated: operators monitor the process through digital panels and adjust key indicators. In the room where the main stations are located, the syrup is turned into sugar crystals, and the remaining intercrystalline solution undergoes de-sugaring, resulting in molasses.
Since the beginning of 2001, the plant has been part of the international group Sucden and has undergone a major modernization process. Productivity has tripled and reached 8.5 thousand tons. The plant's products are shipped throughout Russia and for export, with further expansion of production capacities planned for the future.
