TASS has published information that the consideration of the complaint against the arrest of Vadim Moshkovich, the founder of the holding company "Rusagro," is taking place in the Moscow City Court. A representative of the company "Syngenta," which suffered damages in this case, filed a lawsuit against the entrepreneur for over 999 million rubles (approximately 12.27 million dollars). According to the company's representative, Moshkovich has taken no actions to compensate for the damage.
Previously, there was no information about any claims from "Syngenta" in the context of this case. Moshkovich's lawyers stated in court that he was not questioned on this matter.
In the same case, Moshkovich and the former CEO of "Rusagro" Maxim Basov are accused of causing damage to the company "Solnechnye Produkty" in the amount of 30 billion rubles (approximately 368.3 million dollars). According to the investigation, they persuaded Vladislav Burov to sell 85% of the shares with a promise of investments that were never realized.
