During the first half of 2024, under the supervision of experts from the Siberian Interregional Department of the Rosselkhoznadzor, the Novosibirsk region exported 488,000 tons of grain and leguminous crops. During this period, the department issued 12,002 phytosanitary certificates, most of which were processed through the "Phytosanitary Certificate Request" service on the special platform for foreign trade operations "My Export".

The department notes that this year there has been a significant increase in the foreign economic activity of cargo recipients from the People's Republic of China, whose import volume has grown by 60% compared to the previous year. The main growth resulted from the increase in wheat exports by 19 times - from 3,000 tons to 58,000 tons, barley by 3 times - from 37,000 tons to 112,000 tons, and peas by 2 times - from 38,000 tons to 72,000 tons. Additionally, batches of buckwheat (17.5 thousand tons), rapeseed (14 thousand tons), flaxseed (10.5 thousand tons), and oats (8.5 thousand tons) were also exported to the Republic.

As a result of the half-year period, Kazakhstan, where predominantly wheat (112,000 tons) was sent, as well as rapeseed, flax, rye, soybeans, lentils, and sunflower seeds in a total volume of 5,000 tons, became one of the grain and leguminous crop importing countries. Kyrgyzstan (43,000 tons of wheat and 1.3 thousand tons of sunflower seeds), Belarus (9.5 thousand tons of rapeseed and 3 thousand tons of flax), Mongolia (15 thousand tons of wheat, 1 thousand tons of barley, and 270 tons of peas), and Malaysia (457 tons of peas) also became importers.

Additional 4,000 tons of grain products were exported from the Novosibirsk region to the Kaliningrad region for subsequent shipment to foreign countries. The compliance of the products with the quarantine requirements and phytosanitary norms of importing countries is confirmed by the results of laboratory tests conducted at the Novosibirsk branch of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution "VNIIZH", subordinated to Rosselkhoznadzor. Furthermore, compliance with safety and traceability requirements of the shipped batches with data entry in the GIS "Grain" plays an important role in ensuring food security.
