In the State Agricultural Register (GAR), the acceptance of applications from Ukrainian agrarians for financial assistance for temporary grain storage has ended. Agrarians could request sleeves that can hold up to 200 tons of grain. In total, 2550 applications were received from the front-line territories. This was reported by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vitaliy Koval, as the Ministry's press service informs.
In his comments, the Minister noted that the sleeves are intended for agricultural producers who cultivate from 50 to 10,000 hectares of land. This includes Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions.
"The majority of applications came from agrarians from Mykolaiv region - 546. Then follows Kharkiv region with 409 applications and Dnipropetrovsk region with 401 applications," explained V. Koval.
The Minister also expressed gratitude to the governments of Canada and Japan, as well as the charitable organization Minderoo Foundation from Australia and USAID for their support in implementing the project.
