Ivan Makalov will become the General Director of the sugar production segment at Rusagro company starting from August 1st. He will replace Sergey Goryachev, who previously held this position. Ivan Makalov's previous position was the financial director.

In Bashkortostan, 102 thousand tons of new harvest grain have been collected with a yield of 35 c/ha, which is 40% higher than the previous year. The main crop is winter wheat. Harvesting has begun in 26 districts, mainly in the Aurgazinsky and Sterlitamaksky districts. Rainy weather is slowing down work in the fields. It is planned to harvest 3.5 million tons of grain and 600 thousand tons of oilseeds. Last year, the harvest was 3 million tons, with unfavorable weather conditions being cited as the reason.

At the Ust-Labinsky plant, the processing of sugar beets has begun. Due to drought, the harvest will decrease by 35%, and the tops by 75%. Production will shrink by 25%, and the sugar beets harvested may be reduced by 1-1.5 million tons.

Corporation "Agrokomplex" by N. I. Tkachev harvested 2.3 million tons of grain from 487 thousand hectares. The harvest began two weeks earlier due to warm weather.

Yield: wheat - 49.7 c/ha, barley - 80 c/ha. The impact of drought and May frosts affected the grain yield in the Rostov Region and Krasnodar Territory.

Starting from August 2024, customs duty rates will change as follows:

- Wheat and meslin rates will decrease by 634.0 rubles per ton (-41.16%).

- Barley and corn rates will remain at 0.0 rubles per ton.

The new rates will come into effect on the third day after placement and will remain in force until further changes.

The grain harvest in the Ryazan region started a week earlier. 157 thousand hectares have been threshed, 650 thousand tons of grain have been harvested. 1100 combines are involved, the number could increase to 1500. A record sowing area for 25 years - 1 million 140 thousand hectares. A good harvest is expected.

Due to the expected drought in the south of Russia, the harvest of sugar beets is being delayed. The water shortage in the Krasnodar and Stavropol regions is at 50%. The weather may improve, but the accuracy of forecasts is only 50%. The start of the factories' operations is being postponed to August.

The Minister of Agriculture of Bashkortostan has announced the replacement of imports in the seed production sector and the increase in agricultural exports. Within the framework of the event, the first agricultural drone created in Bashkortostan was demonstrated. It is planned to produce hundreds of such drones annually.

From 22.07.2024 to 26.07.2024, 1,700 tons of white sugar were sold on the National Commodity Exchange and SPbMTSB at a price of 60,173 rubles per ton (704.52 USD per ton). Sales were distributed across federal districts as follows: Central Federal District (CFD) - 480 tons at a price of 59,629 rubles per ton, Northwestern Federal District (NWFD) - 260 tons at 60,038 rubles per ton, Southern Federal District (SFD) - 240 tons at 61,500 rubles per ton, Ural Federal District (UFD) - 260 tons at 60,208 rubles per ton, Siberian Federal District (SFD) - 460 tons at 60,104 rubles per ton.

Company "Eurasia Logistics" has acquired a grain terminal in Taganrog, expanding its transportation assets. Experts are confident that by maintaining export volumes, the company will enter the top 10 grain exporters. Despite competition, integrated transportation can be successful.

In the Trans-Baikal region, 148,000 sheep were sheared, collecting 391.5 tons of wool. The best indicators were in Aginsky district (86.2 tons), Mogoytuisky district (77.3 tons), and Borzinsky district (43.4 tons).

Wool sales for processing amounted to 102 tons. The governor has launched a program for the development of sheep farming until 2030.

In the Tambov region, the harvest is successfully underway: peas and wheat have been harvested from 70% of the fields. It is predicted that the grain and sugar beet harvest will be no less than last year's. Government support contributes to the development of agriculture.
