In the Stavropol region, 2.7 million tons of grain were harvested from 788.8 thousand hectares of harvesting area. The best crop yield results in different districts range from 31.2 to 62.4 centners per hectare. This information was announced by the Minister of Agriculture of the region.

The new Minister of Agriculture plans to harvest 45.5 million tons of sugar beets; however, the crop may be threatened by heat and lack of rain. The cost price of white sugar from beets ranges from $662.8 to $896.29 per ton.

In 2024, the government of the Perm Krai awarded 5 companies for innovations in the industrial sector. One of them is LLC "KAMA" from Krasnokamsk, which uses aspen to create packaging cardboard. Their technology increases the efficiency of using forest resources and reduces the negative impact on the environment. The company successfully replaces imported cardboard with domestic ones and passes international safety checks.

Basic export prices for grains in Russia have been increased by lowering export duty rates. This contributes to the growth of exports and supports agricultural producers. The changes came into effect on July 1, 2024.

The Central Russian breed of bees is hardworking and resistant to diseases. Farmer Nikolay Kudryavtsev is developing beekeeping in the Kostroma region and produced 2.5 centners of honey in 2023. He is also actively promoting apitherapy - bee treatment, offering tourists relaxation in an apiary.

In Karelia, the Ayrshire breed of cattle is successfully bred. There are about 14,000 purebred Ayrshire cows in the region. At a practical seminar, specialists from different regions discussed the development of pedigree livestock breeding and evaluated bull-producers. More than 90 specialists from various regions of Russia took part in the event.

Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Economy, and mushroom growers discussed the development of the Russian mushroom industry. Production has increased by 10 times, but has faced challenges: high VAT, unclear classification, mycelium shortage, and sanctions. Experts called for changes in legislation, government support, and classification.

In the Rostov region, harvesting of early grains and leguminous crops is underway. 445 thousand tons of crops have been harvested from 140 thousand hectares of land (4.4%). The yield is 31.8 centners per hectare.

In 2024, it is planned to harvest wheat, barley, leguminous crops, and other grains on 3.2 million hectares.

In the Komarichsky District of the Bryansk Region, the company "Agroprodukt" successfully cultivates sugar beets due to good soil conditions. Last year, they harvested 230,000 tons from 4,000 hectares, and this year - 144,000 tons with a yield of 340 c/ha. This season, the company plans to set a new record.

In Atkarsk, a project to modernize sunflower production is presented. It is planned to build a grain elevator complex for 60,000 tons of seeds, carry out a major overhaul of the workshops, and invest 6.8 billion rubles. Rusagro is also modernizing the Saratov Fat Refinery and constructing an oil extraction plant. Production will double.
