The Grain Association has selected 13 countries for direct supplies of Russian grain products without intermediaries. The decision was made on October 11, 2024.

Partners of the association bear responsibility only in case of a long-term agreement.

Specialists recommend preparing the vineyard for winter: remove fallen leaves, provide watering and pruning, apply fertilizers, cover from frost, monitor pests, and check the irrigation system. This will help successfully survive the winter and preserve the harvest.

LLC "Northern Garden" is planning to hold various events in a special pavilion and organize tours with the sale of its products. Tourists are not allowed to wander around the garden, but a section with berries will be allocated for city residents. The company also cooperates with students to increase the yield. Grants for agritourism are aimed at developing berry cultivation.

In 2024, farmers in the Kursk region harvested around 2 million tons of sugar beets, which is 23% less than the previous year, due to extreme conditions.

The average yield is 434 centners per hectare.

Farmers in Perm region faced a poor harvest due to bad weather conditions: a cold spring and rainy summer resulted in a 4-fold decrease in crop yield compared to the previous year. Drought and rains affected the quality of seeds, which impacted the harvest of grains and vegetables. Large farms will receive support, while small ones are forced to reduce production.

The sugar beet harvest in the EAEU countries this year amounted to more than 31.8 million tons, with an increase in yield in Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia.

There are a total of 73 sugar processing plants operating in the EAEU territory, where 2.85 million tons of sugar were produced.

In Khakassia, harvesting has been suspended on 7.5 thousand hectares due to heavy snowfall. Unfavorable weather forecast has led to crop losses, especially in the Ordzhonikidzevsky district. Harvesting will resume after the snow melts. The yield of cereals has decreased by 5-6 c/ha, with plans to harvest 125 thousand tons of grain. 17.5 thousand tons will be used for seeds.

Stable oat varieties with triple protection against crown rust have been developed. Genes inherited from wild relatives enable plants to resist pathogens. CDL-111 and CDL-167 have undergone trials and are ready for deployment.

In the educational and exhibition complex "Timiryazev Center", an exhibition of agricultural achievements took place. Stavropol Agrarian University received several prestigious awards for supporting the agro-industrial complex and innovations in agriculture.

In Tatarstan, an increase in sugar production is expected compared to last year. 61% of the beet planting area has already been harvested, with a yield of 457 centners per hectare. It is planned to harvest more than 2 million tons. There will be no sugar shortage, and prices will remain stable.

In NTB, 6075 tons of grain were sold for 96.3 million rubles.

During the period from August 19 to October 14, 2024, 38.2 thousand tons of grain were sold for 600.1 million rubles in 18 transactions.

Experts have reported about an insect pest - the meadow moth, causing damage to 200 plants, including 30 crops. The caterpillars migrate over long distances, threatening agriculture. The caterpillars found have been handed over to the management of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor).
