The speed of harvesting agricultural crops exceeds last year's figures by 5.6 million hectares, as reported by the company RUSEED in their Telegram channel.
According to the latest data as of July 10, the grain harvest has been collected from 8.5 million hectares, with a total volume of 31.6 million tons. This includes:
- Wheat was harvested from 6,462 thousand hectares, which is an increase compared to last year by 1,632 thousand hectares. The result is a harvest of 25,348 thousand tons, whereas in 2023 this figure was only 6,344 thousand tons.
- Barley was harvested on 957 thousand hectares, which is higher by 326 thousand hectares compared to the previous year (631 thousand hectares). Production as of July 10 is already at 3,453 thousand tons, while in 2023 only 2,631 thousand tons were produced by the same date.
- Rapeseed was threshed on 214 thousand hectares, which is 110 thousand hectares more than in 2023 (104 thousand hectares). By July 10, 404 thousand tons have already been threshed, while last year on the same date only 263 thousand tons were threshed.
The average yield of cereals and leguminous crops has slightly decreased to 37.2 centners per hectare, whereas in 2023 it was 37.6 centners per hectare. This is due to spring frosts and dry periods in the summer months, especially in the southern regions of the country.
