According to information provided by the Eurasian Sugar Association, currently only one plant in Russia within the EAEU continues to produce sugar from beet molasses, while in Kazakhstan two plants produce sugar from cane raw material.
The total volume of sugar produced in Russia since the beginning of processing the 2023 crop is 6.823 million tons, including both syrup and molasses.
Throughout the season, the EAEU has produced 266.1 thousand tons of sugar from beet syrup and molasses.
The total amount of sugar produced from beets in the EAEU since the beginning of the 2023/24 season is 7.62 million tons.
Two plants in Kazakhstan have produced over 20 thousand tons of sugar from cane raw material.
