Agricultural producers have reduced prices for sunflower seeds, buckwheat, and tomatoes, as reported by LS.
In the current May, there has been a decrease in the cost of agricultural products by an average of 1.4% nationwide compared to the same period last year.
The report of the National Statistics Bureau shows that the most significant price drop was registered for sunflower seeds - by 17.5%.
Prices for safflower seeds also significantly decreased - by 12.7%, buckwheat - by 11%, corn - by 9.2%, and barley - by 7.3%.
In addition, noticeable price declines affected rapeseed (-6.2%), peas (-6%), lentils (-5.8%), greenhouse tomatoes (-4.1%), onions (-3.5%), potatoes (-2.3%), wheat (-1.2%), and oats (-0.8%).
However, several types of agricultural products, on the contrary, became more expensive: millet - by 9.3%, carrots - by 7.2%, rice - by 6.3%, and greenhouse cucumbers - by 1%.
Furthermore, changes also affected livestock products. Prices for poultry (by meat weight) increased by 12.6%. Horses (by live weight) became more expensive by 6.5%, and sheep - by 4.5%. Regarding pigs, a slight price decrease of 0.4% was recorded.
At the same time, the price of milk increased by 1.5%, while the cost of eggs decreased by 0.7%.
It is worth noting that earlier in LS, it was noted that Kazakhstan increased the export of cattle and poultry abroad. Local horses and sheep are sent to Uzbekistan and Kuwait, while domestic chickens are exported to Tajikistan.
