The Russian Federation is moving towards completing outstanding agreements within the grain deal by July 18, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Vershinin shared with the press.

"We are making efforts to have the outstanding agreements completed by the 18th of July," he noted.

He also mentioned that new personal contacts regarding the grain deal are possible, and consultations are currently ongoing. "Our contacts are actively maintained, including working contacts, consultations are ongoing. We do not exclude the possibility of new meetings," Vershinin emphasized.

The Deputy Minister also stated that Russia is not backing down from the demand to launch the Tolyatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline. "We do not withdraw this request, as it is included in the general agreements, <...>, but we recognize that after the destruction of the ammonia pipeline by the Ukrainian side, there is no real possibility for a quick launch," he responded to a question about Russia's insistence on launching the ammonia pipeline.

According to him, the completion of the grain deal will depend on the actions of the UN organization. "We grant the right to decide on this issue to the UN side, as it concerns interrelated but distinct agreements," he explained.
