The data provided by the Eurasian Sugar Association as of October 7 of the current year indicates that 2.42 million tons of sugar have been produced in the Eurasian Economic Union countries since the beginning of the 2024/25 season. This is 132 thousand tons more than in 2023. Russia contributed 2,240 thousand tons, Belarus - 164.1 thousand tons, Kazakhstan - 7.3 thousand tons, and Kyrgyzstan - 12.2 thousand tons of sugar.
Considering the forecasts for sugar beet production and current quality indicators, it is expected that the total sugar production volume in the Eurasian Economic Union countries will reach 7.2 million tons, slightly exceeding the consumption of 7.13 million tons.
