The Polish government has instructed the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, as well as the Minister of Development and Technology, to establish legal acts to protect the agricultural market from potential fluctuations. This includes a temporary ban on the import of agricultural products from Ukraine. This information was reported on the official website of the Polish Council of Ministers, according to "Kommersant" publication.

The government's statement indicates that the decision was made after a cabinet meeting where current issues in the agricultural market and the consequences of Russian aggression for the country's agriculture were discussed.

The Minister of Agriculture presented the current issues related to the inflow of agricultural products from Ukraine at the meeting. The government informed that experts are in constant contact with Ukrainian authorities to prevent destabilization of the agricultural market.

Several farming organizations in Poland expressed dissatisfaction with the influx of Ukrainian grain intended for export but not being shipped out due to poor quality. To address this issue, the Polish government decided to purchase grain using state funds, spending over $140 million on this. Polish President Andrzej Duda called on Ukraine to combat the illegal export of grain to Poland, and Ukrainian authorities agreed to stop grain shipments to Poland.
