The Kazakh government aims to increase the volume of trade in agricultural products with Iran to $1 billion and expand its presence in new markets. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, Serik Zhuminagarin, stated this.

The head of the department recently visited Iran on a working visit. He noted: "Today, Kazakhstan has the opportunity to export various products, including wheat, barley, confectionery, meat, vegetable oils, and others. We aim to increase the volume of trade in agricultural products with Iran to $1 billion and start deliveries to new markets such as Pakistan, India, Southeast Asia, and East Africa. We would like to leverage the experience of Iranian partners in these markets for our business purposes."

Serik Zhuminagarin also expressed the intentions of Kazakh companies to increase freight traffic from 1 million to 4 million tons per year. To achieve this goal, the parties agreed to develop a three-party plan to improve infrastructure and develop the North-South route by 2025."
