The Institute for Agricultural Market Analysis has raised its forecasts for grain harvest in Russia and export potential for the current and upcoming seasons.

The Institute for Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR) has increased the grain harvest forecast in Russia to 129.5 million tons, with peaks in wheat (83.8 million tons), barley (17.2 million tons), and corn (14.3 million tons).

The export forecast has also increased to 56.2 million tons, including 44.5 million tons of wheat. The Ministry of Agriculture maintains the crop forecast for 2024 at 132 million tons.

The Institute for Agricultural Market Analysis (IAMA) has once again raised its forecasts regarding grain production volumes in Russia this year, as well as the assessment of grain export potential in the 2024/2025 season.

Scientists have increased their forecasts for the Russian grain harvest to 129.5 million tonnes, which is an improvement compared to the previous forecast of 128 million tonnes. The greatest growth in estimates is noted for wheat - up to 83.8 million tonnes from 83.2 million tonnes, barley - up to 17.2 million tonnes from 16.9 million tonnes, and corn - up to 14.3 million tonnes from 14 million tonnes, respectively.

Similarly, forecasts for export potential have also been raised to 56.2 million tonnes, compared to the previous value of 55 million tonnes. For wheat, forecasts have been raised to 44.5 million tonnes from the previous 44 million tonnes.

It is important to note that the forecast for the grain harvest in 2024, provided by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, remains unchanged at 132 million tonnes.
