Andrey Bocharov, the head of the Volgograd region, expressed the need to continue developing important sectors of agriculture, noting positive dynamics in the region. He called for increasing production capacities and implementing innovations in agribusiness and production without stopping at what has already been achieved.
The implementation of investment projects is the driving force behind the development of agriculture in the region. As part of this process, a modern plant specializing in deep processing of corn called "New-Bio" has already been built and is operating successfully. Construction of a modern large-scale dairy farm is also nearing completion, and new capacities of the company "Sady Pridonya" are starting to operate. Necessary reclamation projects are also actively being implemented, with the creation of a unified specialized center, emphasized the head of the region.
Currently, extensive documentation is being prepared for the construction of a Center for Biologization and Organic Farming, a breeding and seed center, a center for the reproduction of agricultural animals and pedigree work, as well as a project for the development of a modern grain complex.
Andrey Bocharov also reported that a number of new projects in agriculture have been included in the Unified Regional List. Among them are: the construction of the second stage of the canning plant "Akhtuba" with investments amounting to 4.5 billion rubles; a comprehensive modernization of the Elansky cheese-making plant worth 2.1 billion rubles; the establishment of a plant for the production of granulated feed by the company "Megamix" with investments of 1.45 billion rubles; the construction, modernization, and technical re-equipment of the elevator complex of the company "Zagotzerno" for the sum of 570 million rubles; the launch of a new line for drying vegetables at the enterprise APK "Gorodishchensky" with investments amounting to 242 million rubles.
The Governor also attached great importance to expanding the assortment and share of Volgograd products in trade networks, developing fairs, non-stationary trade as part of small businesses, and logistics.
