According to the report of the FGIS "Argus-Phytosanitary", since the beginning of 2024, the Rosselkhoznadzor has already issued phytosanitary certificates for the export of 40.2 million tons of grain and its processing. This is 5.6 million tons or 16% more than the previous year, as stated in the press release of the department.
The majority of the exports are accounted for by the following crops:
- wheat - 24.9 million tons;
- corn - 4.2 million tons;
- barley - 3.9 million tons.
During the comparable period of the previous year, a significant growth in the export of rye (8-fold increase), barley (2-fold), oats (2-fold), wheat flour (+70%), groats (+60%), and leguminous crops (+60%) has been observed.
Furthermore, it should be noted that the volume of Russian grain purchases has significantly increased in countries such as Vietnam (26 times), Indonesia (9 times), Jordan (6 times), Afghanistan (5 times), Iraq, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia (3 times).
