According to the information provided by the agroholding "Astarta-Kyiv", from August 24, 1.8 million tons of sugar beets were processed at five sugar factories, producing over 271 thousand tons of sugar. This is a significant increase compared to the same period last year, when 217 thousand tons of sugar were produced.

It is worth noting that the segment's revenue increased by 19% this year, reaching 169 million euros. Sugar and by-products processing exports have become the main source of income, accounting for 50% of total revenue for 9 months, while last year this figure was only 17%," the company reports.

Furthermore, it is noted that a 43% increase in sugar sales volumes, up to 289 thousand tons, helped partially offset price declines. Due to active trading with countries in North Africa, the Middle East, and the EU, Astarta's sugar exports reached 140 thousand tons, which is 5 times higher than the previous year's figures.
