The Ministry of Agriculture: according to IKAR research, the sowing area of sugar beets has increased by 17.4 thousand hectares this year. Farmers have reduced the areas, but expect a decent harvest due to increased productivity. The forecast for sugar output per hectare is at the level of last year or higher. In good weather, sugar production can reach 6.3-6.4 million tons.
Wheat exports from Russia in June of the current year decreased by 4 times compared to the previous year, amounting to 1.12 million tons. The export quota is 83% utilized, with Egypt, Turkey, and Iran being the main buyers. Prices for Russian wheat remained stable.
