The Russian Union of Flour Mills predicts an increase in flour production to 10.3 million tons in 2024. The production of wheat flour is growing, while rye flour is decreasing due to the high cost of grain. A decrease in rye harvest is expected in the future.

According to Rosstat, gasoline prices in the Kemerovo region are as follows: AI-92 - 52₽, AI-95 - 56.69₽, AI-98 - 75.28₽, diesel fuel - 69.74₽.

Kuzbass has some of the lowest gasoline prices, especially for AI-98. Kemerovo region is also among the top 10 regions with low prices for AI-92.

There is a shortage of agronomists on the labor market due to a lack of qualified specialists. Salaries are increasing, and the number of job openings is growing. The solution is to maintain employee loyalty through professional development and training.

The volume of greenhouse vegetable yield in Russia has increased and reached 1.64 million tons. It is expected to reach 1.68-1.69 million tons this year, setting a new record.

Producers' costs are rising due to high expenditures on electricity, labor costs, equipment, and seeds. Prices for cucumbers and tomatoes increased in October. Now the cost of greenhouse products in winter may be 100-150% more expensive than in summer, which is explained by the producers' increased expenses.

Last week, sunflower and oil prices continued to rise. Domestic prices for sunflower and oil are at their highest level. Export prices for oil are falling, and a decrease is expected for other vegetable oils as well. In Russia, a decrease in prices for sunflower and oil is expected due to the increase in export duties and the decline in world prices.

Internal prices for wheat may decrease due to low export activity. In the Central part of Russia, prices have risen due to strong demand from livestock breeders. A decrease in wheat export potential is expected.

In the first half of 2024, the production of natural starches in Russia increased to 205.5 thousand tons, surpassing last year's figure.

Corn starch increased by 6%, while wheat starch decreased by 4%. Production of modified starches increased by 23%, including an increase in the volumes of potato starch.

Growth in the production of starchy starch products was also noted.

The forecast for Russian wheat export has been increased to 5 million tons. Prices for Russian wheat remain stable on the market, unlike competitors. The stable improvement of weather in the USA has a positive impact on the crop. Internal wheat prices throughout Russia are rising.

The Prosecutor General's Office has completed its investigation: companies like "Wimm-Bill-Dann" and others have been found guilty of unjustifiably raising milk prices. Prices increased due to a rise in costs, not for objective reasons. Monitoring of prices for socially important goods is ongoing.

The President of the Association of Gardeners of Russia expects the apple harvest in 2024 to be the same as last year. The yield will decrease by 5-10%, but there will be no shortage. Prices have slightly increased - 120-130 rubles per kilogram.

Russia aims to achieve 100% self-sufficiency in apples by 2028.

Oil Union forecast: the export duty on sunflower oil in December will increase to 8,000 rubles per ton, in January - up to 15,000 rubles per ton.

Estimates for oilseed crops were overstated; the shortfall is being compensated by yields in the Volga region and Altai. The average prices for sunflower seeds have reached a maximum in two years - 45,200 rubles per ton.

Last week, prices for Russian wheat decreased to $226/ton FOB. Prices for French wheat dropped to $238/ton, while American wheat increased to $258/ton.

Forecasts for corn and soybean harvest in the U.S. were lowered, but the overall forecast for global wheat production remained unchanged. Prices for wheat on the domestic market stayed stable.
