This year, the area under spring crops in the Penza region will amount to 1,134,000 hectares.

"Increasing the sown area by 50,000 hectares compared to last year will be possible thanks to the state support for farmers and the introduction of new lands into agricultural circulation," the governor emphasized.

For the 2025 harvest, 374.6 thousand hectares of winter wheat, 2.8 thousand hectares of winter rye, and 2.1 thousand hectares of winter triticale were processed. At present, farmers are engaged in fertilizing agricultural crops.
