At the Ministry of Agriculture of the region, an event was held to sum up the results of 2024 and set goals and objectives for the current year. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Minister of Agriculture, Ilschat Fazrakhmanov.
— It is important for us to protect our territory, restore and increase the production of bee packages in the republic, — he stated. — It is necessary to produce no less than 30-35 thousand bee packages per year. This way, the region will be provided and protected from problems associated with uncontrolled bee imports.
Ilschat Fazrakhmanov noted the prospect of expanding state support for local bee package producers.
Recall that in 2024, an operation "Bee" was conducted in Bashkortostan. Within the framework of this operation, raids were carried out to identify illegal bee imports into the region with the participation of specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture of the republic, the State Veterinary Committee, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance in the Republic of Bashkortostan, and the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Experts believe that the proposed measures can significantly improve the situation with bee diseases.
Research shows that dangerous infections are coming from southern regions along with bees, which can destroy many bee families.
In addition, the import of bees from the south without the necessary documents and of unknown origin creates unfair competition in the bee package market. As a result, local beekeepers, who produce high-quality bee material from local populations, find themselves in an unfavorable position. While these bees are more resistant to wintering, have high productivity, and produce genuine Bashkir honey.
The meeting also discussed the need to take measures to prevent violations of pesticide and agrochemical use rules.
